Survivor New Guinea was my second shot at hosting Survivor between the break of URTV8 and URTV9. I had this game on the back burner since immediately after Niihau's closure in July. After the previous season, I was quite skeptical of hosting Survivors, but I decided to bring in applications this time and the result gave us a powerhouse of a cast. Unlike last season's completely straight forward timeline, this game took a lot of twists and turns. With the help of some hard to find Hidden Immunity Idols, two underdogs in Todd & Jessica were able to outlast an entire alliance and beat out arguably the strongest player in the game, Kenny, in the final three.
In the end, Todd was able to beat out Jessica in a very close 5-4 vote resulting in quite possibly the most unlikely (but certainly deserving) winner in my hosting experience.
