Summary

While Mikey is the first ever winner of URTV1, many would criticize him as a fluke. This isn't to discredit Mikey as a good player, he certainly was in the original season and made the right moves to get himself to the end. His timing was what helped take him far the most by making alliances and breaking them as well, doing them in almost fluid motion. While he upset many, many people - he still was able to (barely) get enough votes to win over nice girl Holly.

Michael seemed to have a flawless game. He never faced eviction. He was the last of the active cast to ever be nominated. He was a competition beast.

However, in future seasons his weaknesses would definitely be exposed. One of which was speaking skills while facing heat. Mikey was put up against master debater James/Kevin in Week 1 of URTV2. In a vote that was originally going to be an 11-0 landslide, Mikey's failure to defend himself against Kevin turned 8 votes against him and earned him the ironic placing of winner one season, dead last next season (soon to follow the next two seasons with David dead last and winner the next). In a comeback twist, Mikey was given the chance to come back, but was right in the heat of drama and left right after, not without putting his foot in his mouth a few times in the process.

To put the cherry on top, Michael returned for URTV5: All-Stars and I had high expectations on seeing how he interacted with some of the "new" bloods such as Cody. However my curiousity was quickly shot down as Michael pulled one of the dumbest moves in the history of the series. Mikey was initially nominated against Ali. Knowing that his long time rival Evan were to be the replacement, Mikey decided to save Ali to attempt to get in good with her while staying confident he would stay over the highly hated Jase.

These days, it's obvious Mikey probably couldn't excel well in URTV. ORGs have evolved a lot since the days of URTV1 where all you needed to do was post a few times in the backyard every day to show that you had a great social game. Fluke or not, his performance in URTV1 is not to be forgotten.[/center]
